Welcome to the site for Lake Country Mini Rex; owned and operated by myself, Kati Hanson. I am located in central Minnesota. I have 35 holes to work with, and each one is utilized to its max! Despite the limited space, I still manage to be nationally competitive in the big varieties. I currently raise Mini Rex in broken and white. Please check out my other pages to view my stock. 5-12-12 Lake Country's Chablis takes a BOB at her final show, and Lake Country's Atlas takes BOV broken in all three shows with BOB is show 2! Chablis is now granded :D . Great show in Owatonna!
5-1-12 - Nationals has come and gone with another great weekend meeting some wonderful people! Lake Country's Atlas was 10th broken jr buck; Lake Country's JB1 was 5th black sr. buck (co-owned with Sami Olson of TimberOaks Rabbitry); and BOV seal was Lake Country's Max (also co-owned with Sami Olson).
3-31-12 Lake Country's Chablis took a Best in Specialty Show, and Lake Country's GQ won BOB in Show 1 and 2 and went BEST IN SHOW in Show 2! Congratulations to the Samuelson Family for their YOUTH RESERVE IN SHOW with Lake Country's Ranger!!!
3-24-12 - Lake Country's Chablis (white jr doe) took a BOS under Mike Avesing. This was her second time to a show! Also, Lake Country's GQ got 2 more legs to complete his grand championship. :)
3-17-12 - Lake Country's GQ takes a BEST IN SHOW! My very first home bred BIS win!! Such an exciting day!
11-6-11: Well, the ARBA Convention in Indianapolis was a success! Blazer and Puff both did outstanding. Puff took 2nd PLACE WHITE SR. DOE (out of 48) and Blazer took 9th PLACE BROKEN JR. BUCK (out of 101)! What a great week.
8-8-11: Lake Country's Puff takes a BEST IN SHOW at our County Fair open show under judge Erik Bengston :) - too bad this wasn't ARBA sanctioned. Puff is only 11 weeks old!!!! She is on her way to being one hot little doe! See her pictured on the up and coming page.
3-19-11: Maximus Blast takes an All Breed BEST IN SHOW!! This was my very first time winning Best in Show with a Mini Rex. Big thanks to Gina Layton for such an awesome buck! That same day, Lake Country's Arrow took BOS! My first BOS, BOB, and BIS all in one day! Hopefully this is a preview for 2011!!! Arrow is pictured on the 'Bucks' page.
